Synopsis

According to the INCOSE MBSE Initiative Working Group, Model Based Systems Engineering is the formalized application of modeling to support system requirements, design, analysis, verification and validation activities. MBSE also reduces the risk of errors and inconsistencies by allowing greater traceability and the creation of a single source of truth, ensuring that all stakeholders are working with the same information and can identify system-level issues quickly.

In this workshop, we will build an executable model that demonstrates the power of simulation in describing a system of interest. With our expert instructor, Mr. Casey Medina, we will explore how SysML behavioral and structural elements are connected and how to use a simulated Graphical User Interface (GUI) to allow users to interact with our model.

Software

Everyone must bring their own laptop for the class. They must also either have already have the Dassault CATIA software, or have admin privileges to to load a trial version. More information is forthcoming. You will also be able to download the software the day of the tutorial at the classroom via WIFI.

Limited to 20students.

Deadline – Registration will close Friday at 9am, 4 October 2024 (24 hour beforehand).
