Amazon Web Services (AWS) is the world’s most comprehensive and broadly adopted cloud platform, offering over 165 fully featured services from data centers globally. Millions of customers —including the fastest-growing startups, largest enterprises, and leading government agencies—trust AWS to power their infrastructure, become more agile, and lower costs.
The U.S. Department of Defense trusts Amazon Web Services with their most sensitive information. Today, AWS delivers services that DoD application owners use to deliver advanced features such as AI/ML, Big Data, and Enterprise Applications such as SAP at data classifications up to SECRET. Join the AWS Navy team to discuss DoD Cloud policy, security, network connectivity, and use cases. We will discuss best practices for contractors supporting DoD, internal DoD workloads and cyber security best practices.
Rob Goodwin, Senior Solution Architect, Amazon Web Services – Rob Goodwin has over 30 years of experience on the forefront of many technology changes within the industry. He has worked in the transitions from Mainframes to PCs, Stand Alone systems to LANs/WANs, Client/Server to Web applications, and Bare metal environments to Virtualization, and now Rob is helping the movement to the Cloud. Rob has diverse industry experience; Financial, Telecom, Government/DoD, Healthcare, and even the environmental space. Rob Goodwin currently supports the Navy’s network connectivity and application migration to the cloud and is responsible for the architectural excellence of DoD systems with FOUO/CUI and Secret classifications in the AWS Cloud. On a personal note: Rob is married with 4 children and just became a Grandpa for the first time this October.
